Accessibility statement of the mobile application

MEDIDENT Jakub Koynov is committed to ensuring the accessibility of its mobile application in accordance with the Act of 4 April 2019 on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities.

This accessibility statement applies to the MEDIDENT mobile application for Android and iOS devices. The app is published in Google Play and the App Store on behalf of the practice by Stellarity sp. z o.o..

The app is being prepared for publication in Google Play and the App Store.

Digital accessibility status

The mobile application is partially compliant with the Act on the digital accessibility of websites and mobile applications of public entities due to the non-compliances listed below.

Inaccessible content

  • On some screens (e.g. “Communication settings”) the back button is labelled “(tabs)” instead of the name of the previous screen. Screen readers read out this technical name.
  • The app has not yet been tested with the VoiceOver (iOS) and TalkBack (Android) screen readers.
  • The app has not been checked with the largest text size set in the phone system; screen elements may then overlap or be cut off.

All functions of the app — booking an appointment, reporting special needs, a copy of your data, contact with the practice — are also available in the patient panel at https://www.medident.net.pl and by phone, SMS and e-mail.

Accessibility features of the app

  • Choice of contact channel: e-mail, phone or SMS.
  • Increased spacing in lists (Profile → Communication settings → Appearance).
  • Reporting special needs when booking and in the profile.

Keyboard shortcuts and gestures

The app does not use additional keyboard shortcuts or non-standard gestures. It works with the standard gestures of the system and of the screen reader.

Feedback and contact details

If you experience accessibility problems with the mobile application, please contact us. The contact person is Małgorzata Bilska, e-mail address kontakt@medident.net.pl. You can also call +48 71 317 88 24 or send an SMS to +48 886 017 726. The same channels can be used to request inaccessible information and to demand that accessibility be ensured.

Handling requests and complaints concerning accessibility

Everyone has the right to request that the digital accessibility of the website, the mobile application or any of their elements be ensured. You may also request that information be made available through an alternative means of access, for example by reading out a digitally inaccessible document or describing the content of a video without audio description.

The request should contain the details of the person making it, an indication of the website or mobile application concerned and a method of contact. If the person making the request indicates a need to receive information through an alternative means of access, they should also specify the form of presenting that information that is convenient for them.

MEDIDENT fulfils the request without undue delay, no later than within 7 days of the request being made. If this deadline cannot be met, we inform the person making the request without delay when it will be possible to fulfil it; this period may not exceed 2 months from the date of the request. If ensuring digital accessibility is not possible, we propose an alternative means of access to the information.

If the request to ensure accessibility or an alternative means of access to information is refused, the person making the request may lodge a complaint concerning the digital accessibility of the website, the mobile application or their element. The complaint is submitted to MEDIDENT Jakub Koynov through the same channels as the request. After this procedure has been exhausted, an application may be submitted to the Commissioner for Human Rights (www.rpo.gov.pl).
